Maxigras 49 WR is a semi-synthetic pseudoplastic lubricant of high viscosity and adhesion, capable of providing optimum elastohydrodynamic lubrication.

Maxigras 49 WR is specially designed for the lubrication of braided steel cables, with and without textile core. Its adhesion increases in tandem with the Extreme Pressure load to which the fibres of the cable are subjected when it supports its maximum load, specially with pulleys and against strong twisting, guaranteeing an optimal lubrication of the cables, even under the most severe working conditions, while favouring its application through centralised greasing systems.

Applications:

- Impregnation of steel cables during their manufacture.
- Mining and construction equipment cables.
- Forklift cables, hoists and lifts.
- Harbour cranes and shipdeck cables.
- Rollers, pulleys and crane guides, mechanisms subjected to extreme pressure, low speed and oscillating loads in extreme conditions in the presence of contaminants.
- Mechanisms working in marine environments and port machinery, where high resistance to water and salt spray is required.
- Mechanical features in mining, quarries, public works machinery, where the presence of water and other contaminants is habitual.
- Open gears subjected to high pressures and sliding loads, crown wheels, gear racks, locks installations ...
- Lubrication of mechanisms subject to extreme pressure, low speed and oscillating loads in extreme situations, in the presence of contaminating features.
- Its special adherence and greasiness which is specially recommended for use in all types of medium - large - duty heavy duty chains as well as bevel and crown wheels and exposed transmissions which are manually or bath-lubricated.
- Also recommended for all types of lubrication of couplings, specially for toothed couplings (bevelled cogs) subjected to extreme loads even at extreme speeds.

Advantages / Benefits:

- The solid additives used in their formula act by filling the microspaces present between the fibres of the cable and in the pulleys, avoiding direct metal-metal contact, creating a laminar lubrication that reduces the load per square centimetre, minimising the wear of metal surfaces and fibre breakage. These solid additives react to cable traction, actively working against the materials of the lubricated surfaces, reducing their wear, even under poor lubrication conditions.
- Extends the service life of the mechanisms, also reducing maintenance costs by relubrication.
- Resistant to the interior and exterior corrosion of the cable in extreme conditions of humidity and salt atmospheres.
- Forms an external film that repels water and prevents the entry of external contaminants (such as abrasive particulates), avoiding premature failure of cables.
- Demonstrated resistance to attack by acid and acidic atmospheres, and resistance against water washing.
- Excellent anti-wear capacity and extreme pressure. Provides maximum protection against extreme load situations.
- Operating temperature from -20ºC to + 150ºC, (-4ºF to +302ºF).
