Maxigras 591 is a non-toxic, semisynthetic lubricant with a semifluid, transparent and oily gel appearance specially formulated for the lubrication of gears, chains, guides and other elements in the food and pharmaceutical industry where there may be leakage problems when using traditional lubricants.

It meets the requirements of the H1 standard for lubricants in accidental contact with food intended for human consumption.

Advantages:

- Its thixotropic nature makes it possible to maintain its viscosity at rest and to increase its fluidity when applying shear stress, depending on the operating system in the lubricated element. After a time of rest, Maxigras 591 recovers its viscosity and initial properties, avoiding possible leaks in seals and seals, as well as the dripping in chains, guides and other elements susceptible to this problem.
- Excellent behaviour under extreme conditions and shock loads. High EP capacity.
- Its adhesion and wrapping allow a correct lubrication of the gears and prevents drainage and leakage losses in the stopping periods, thus increasing the relubrication intervals and reducing maintenance costs.
- High protection against corrosion, wear and oxidation, prolonging the life of the lubricant and the mechanisms where it works.
- Easy pumping when using automatic lubrication systems.
- Excellent adhesion, high resistance to dripping/draining.
- The lubricating film adheres during the stop times, preventing the entry of abrasive particles into the interior of gearboxes, also providing an effective protection against corrosion of the metal surface.
- High penetration in internal surfaces of chain links.
- Reduction of noise and vibrations during gears and chains operation.
- Compatible with elastomers, gaskets, seals and paintsused in machinery for foodstuffs manufacture and packaging.
- Temperature range of use: -20ºC (-4ºF) a +100 ºC (+212 ºF).

Applications:

- Cylindrical, bevel, worm and planetary, gears etc. in the food and beverage processing, packaging and pharmaceutical industries.
- Rolling bearings, bearings, vertical and horizontal guides, where there is risk of accidental contact with food.
- Lubrication of chains in food conveyors.
- Food packaging machinery.
- Machinery where there may be drip problems with traditional lubricants, such as bridge cranes, conveyor belts, power transmissions, and geared motors in the agri-food industry.
