Rolling contact guides (ball screws)
Rolling contact guides are linear guides in which the movement
and contact between the fixed and mobile element is conducted
by means of a rolling system. This reduces the contact surface,
thereby ensuring faster, more precise and smoother movements
than those achieved with sliding guides.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The choice of the best lubricant for rolling contact guides will
depend on the speed of the screws and the loads involved. The
use of low-viscosity EP oils is standard for high-speed screws. The
greater the speed the lower the viscosity of the base oil used, as
lower levels of viscosity increase the heat dissipation capacity and
reduce the molecular friction of the lubricant. Lubrication using EP
greases is common in slow-moving screws.
Lubricating with oil
Standard conditions
FLOW PO
Lubricating oils formulated with highly refined mineral bases and
state-of-the-art ash-free additives. The advanced formulation
provides an extraordinary capacity to bear large loads (EP
properties).
Recommended for gear systems, gearboxes, smooth bushings,
guides and bearings requiring a lubricant with EP properties.
Excellent protection against shock and/or sliding loads.

Low-viscosity lubricating oils with a high load capacity and high
degree of purity (ISO Classification 4406 recommended: 16/14/11
or NAS 1638: 5) formulated with highly refined mineral bases and
state-of-the-art additives to guarantee the maximum durability of
the lubricant, the minimal wear of the lubricated parts and low
energy consumption, reducing the temperature by up to 10º C in
comparison with conventional hydraulic oils.
