PortuguêsELGI (European Lubricating Grease Institute) has chosen Madrid to hold its 34th Annual General Meeting. From 20 to 23 April 2024, more than 300 of the world’s top technicians in grease manufacturing will take part in working groups addressing major topics of importance to the European grease market, presenting their progress over three days of participation.
Topics include railway lubricants, biodegradable greases, research advances, lubrication in the food industry, testing methods, aerospace greases, training and the relationship between lubricating greases and the environment, grease service life, REACH, and many other topics that will be discussed in various workshops and conferences.
ELGI, of which Olipes is a member and sponsor, was established in May 1989 and is an independent and autonomous institute, financed exclusively by its members. It is part of a group of scientific and technical institutes active in the field of tribology dealing with lubricating greases and associated products. The institute is involved in all aspects of this product group, in particular those relating to technical, economic, ecological and legislative positions in Europe.
