Olipes, has updated the technical documentation associated with products intended for commercial vehicles due to the new version of the ACEA specifications and Daimler Trucks standards.

The reduced SAPS content categories for Euro VI and earlier engines with built-in particulate filters, ACEA E6-2016 (extended change period) and ACEA E9-2016 (standard change period), have been replaced by ACEA E8-2022 and ACEA E11-2022, respectively. At the same time, the high SAPS categories, ACEA E4 and ACEA E7, remain in force.

This reflects the new ACEA specifications in Olipes products:

For its part, the update at Daimler AG is due to the division into:

– Mercedes-Benz (passenger cars and vans), retaining the same MB 229.xx standards, and

– Daimler Trucks (commercial vehicles), creating new specifications with the DTFR nomenclature, which will gradually replace the previous MB 228.xx.

In this regard, there is no technical difference between the two specifications, but simply a change of nomenclature.

The relationship between the old and the new nomenclature is as follows:

228.3

DTFR 15B110
