The main European, US and Asian Engine manufacturers
have established their own specifications for a new
generation of engine lubricants which, although they

terms of testing the engines manufactured by them,
particularly after incorporating the exhaust gas
post-treatment systems: Particulate Filters (DPF or FAP),

EGR Valves and Urea Catalytic Converters (SCR).
OLIPES engine lubricants are designed to comply with
EPA North American and the European Euro IV, Euro V
CI-4 CI-4 CI-4
and future Euro VI standards regarding the reduction of
smoke emission, ensuring maximum engine protection
even under the most extreme conditions.

OLIPES recommends following the engine manufacturer’s
CF-4 instructions as regards the viscosity grades (in line with the
atmospheric temperature) and the quality levels.
