The 2nd edition of the "Commitment to After-Sales Sustainability" awards saw Olipes take home the highest award as a manufacturer in the "Impact on people" category for all the work carried out in partnership with the Abriendo Caminos Foundation in the development and start-up of the International School in Pouma (Cameroon).
An award that acknowledges the daily work conducted in the area of corporate social responsibility, consisting of the implementation of different proactive policies including cooperation to help children. To this end, Olipes allocates up to 10% of its profits through the Abriendo Caminos Foundation every year to plans for improvements in the health sector, social integration, education and training for children and young people at risk of social exclusion, and in which the company has always striven to create a corporate project geared to the interests of both the company and society as a whole.
“We are extremely happy and proud to have been given this recognition for our commitment to children, particularly due to the fact it comes from the two main associations in the spare parts sector in Spain, ANCERA and SERNAUTO, together with the workshop associations represented by CETRAA, CONEPA and in collaboration with Motortec Madrid”, declares Arturo Oliver, the founder of Olipes and president of the Abriendo Caminos Foundation.
The winners of the 2nd edition of the “Commitment to After-Sales Sustainability” awards, announced today, were chosen by a panel made up of representatives from foundations and prestigious entities with regard to commitment and social impact:
- María López-Escorial, president of the HAZ Foundation.
- Beatriz Sánchez Guitian, managing director of the máshumano Foundation.
- Lucila García, executive director of the Seres Foundation.
- Carmen Alsina, director of Communication, International Relations and Sustainability at CEOE.
- Mar de Andrés, director of social affairs and volunteer work at the Repsol Foundation
