Last Thursday, 07 November, the 13th edition of the POTENCIA Awards prizegiving ceremony was held in the VIP section of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid. As has been the case for thirteen years, the event brought together more than 220 guests from the world of construction, engineering, heavy machinery and public works, as well as public authorities and major sector associations.
 
OLIPES sponsored this edition of the event along with 16 other companies, which was organised by the magazine POTENCIA and the publishing house TPI, as a show of support and recognition for the companies and projects chosen by a panel of jurors made up of managers from the machinery departments of the biggest construction companies in the country, and prestigious names from the most important associations, which were joined by Anmopyc this year.
The prizes were split into two blocks. The first is related to the main innovate projects in the machinery sector. The prizes in this area were awarded to Finanzauto, for the CAT 336 crawler excavator, Manitou for its 360 ??CAT 1200/4000 R 360 rotary forklift, and Wacker Neuson for the DW15e electric dumper truck, among other manufacturers.
 
The prizes in the projects and engineering area went to Acciona for the Site C Hydroelectric Project (British Columbia, Canada), Dragados for Caixaforum Sevilla, Hercal for the demolition of the turbines building at the Cristóbal Colón thermal power plant in Huelva, and Lantania for the Madrid-Galicia high-speed line.
Beyond the competition, in gratitude for his collaboration with these awards ever since the first edition, Ricardo Cortés, technical director at Seopan and a member of the panel of jurors, was given a commemorative plaque. Moreover, the traditional honorary prize was awarded to Antonio Bello Gil, founder of Grupo Ibergrúas, in recognition of his professional career.
