The MT Suzuki Raid Adventure 2019 is over. The convoy of these adventurous drivers, who set out at the wheel of their Suzuki vehicles on 01 December, has returned to the mainland after travelling around 3,000 km through Morocco along roads, stony ground, goat tracks, watercourses, deserts, dry lakes, ... testing the skills of these intrepid drivers on off-road, 4x4, speed sections, etc.
Morocco is a land of contrasts and cultural clashes, evident as soon as you arrive at the border to enter the country. It´s hard to sum up the vastness of its territory, all the endless landscapes of mountains, dirt and stone roads, plains, the famous orange sand dunes, in a few images ... Natividad Losa, one of the participants, tells us, who continues to express his feelings in a personal tone: “it all makes you feel so small, so insignificant. This mingles with the impact of the raw and cruel reality in existence in much of the country, particularly the children, barefoot between the rocks and the cold....”.
That's why, in addition to an adventure trip, the Suzuki Raid MT has provided some grains of solidarity work, as each team has been distributing clothes, school supplies or toys for children, by the different populations that has crossed the convoy.
The project has enjoyed the backing of OLIPES from the outset, due to the fact it features two factors that identify our brand with this type of activity: first of all, the aforementioned charitable element, and secondly, the world of automobiles in extremely demanding conditions; the ideal test bench for verifying the technology and quality of our greases, oils and lubricants.
In addition to adventure and charity, “the family” comprising the group of drivers, assistants and organisers shared moments of laughter and complicity, together with others of effort and fatigue, which have helped establish firm friendships within the group.
And as the Dakar rally drivers say ... let´s prepare for the next one!!
