These mechanisms are used to transfer power between separate shafts, with high torque and major
reductions in speed. They are normally used in the open or protected by a watertight casing.

Lubricating with greases

RECOMMENDATIONS:
For open gears, ring gears, drive pinions and rack drives we recommend the use of adhesive greases
such as MAXIGRAS OGL, considerably reinforced with Extreme Pressure and solid additives to guarantee
excellent protection against moisture and extreme environmental conditions.
MAXIGRAS OGL greases meet the requirements of the main drive gear manufacturers: ThyssenKrupp
Polysius, Fuller, Flender, David Brown, Svedala-Allis...

Mechanisms which are small in size or difficult to reach

MANUAL or CENTRAL lubrication
These mechanisms may be lubricated manually by means of a brush or spatula, or by means
of a central dosing system, allowing for the use of fluid or consistent greases with a high
degree of adherence and Extreme Pressure solid additives.
MAXIGRAS 94 OGL
Complex Aluminium Fluid Grease with EP properties and a high viscosity (ISO 1000) oil base.
High content of extremely pure colloidal graphite.
AGMA Type CG-1/CG-2/CG-3* NLGI 0/00 DIN OGPF 0/00N-10 ISO-L-XADHB-00 -10ºC to +120ºC (+140ºC)**
High temperatures, vibrations, speed and high loads. Prevents problems of
corrosion due to vibration.

MAXIGRAS COMPLEX M
EP Complex Grease with solid additives (graphite and MoS ) and high-viscosity base oil.

AGMA Type CG-1/CG-2 NLGI 2 DIN KPF2P-20 ISO-L-XBEHB-2 V (cSt at 40ºC) > 375 -20ºC to +160ºC (+180ºC)
Designed for the lubrication of metal to metal contact surfaces requiring a grease for high
temperatures with heavy shock loads, vibrations and limited sliding.

MAXIGRAS 49 WR

Pseudo-plastic lubricant with solid additives and EP properties. High-viscosity (ISO 680)
semi-synthetic oil base. Semi-fluid consistency.***
AGMA Type CG-1 NLGI 1 DIN KPFHC1N-25 ISO-L-XBDIB-1 -25ºC to +150ºC**
Maximum adherence and protection including at high temperatures, with vibrations,
moisture and in aggressive surroundings.

MAXIGRAS 593
Grease with PTFE H1 for the Food Industry. Approved by the NSF in accordance with the criteria
established under the FDA as H1 type lubricant. Contains EP and PTFE additives to support large
sliding and dynamic loads, including in extreme working conditions and temperatures.
